Dax Chell, Broker Gold Crown Realty

Dax brings over 35,280+ hours of hands-on experience in property management to the table, a career rooted in a lifetime of dedication to the industry. Growing up in the family property management business, Dax started with the fundamentals—serving notices, cleaning and painting apartments, and sweeping parking lots—before rising to become a respected leader in the field. Since earning a real estate broker license in September 2011 and joining the ranks of Realtors in October 2011, Dax has consistently delivered exceptional results for clients across California’s Imperial Valley and beyond.

A trailblazer in the real estate market, Dax’s first sale as a broker—a 10-unit apartment complex—set a local record, selling at a higher price per door than any other property in the area for nearly a year. Today, Dax continues to assist buyers and sellers in achieving their real estate goals, leveraging innovative marketing strategies like large-scale digital and non-static billboards to advertise property vacancies and sales with maximum impact.

Dax is a recognized thought leader in property management, having hosted a seminar on "Successful Landlording in a Recession" in 2024 at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in El Centro. A committed advocate for the industry, Dax currently serves as a member of the California Apartment Association’s Property Management Policy Subcommittee and chairs the City of El Centro Building Board Appeals Board. Past roles include membership on the California Apartment Association’s Compliance Committee and Taxation and Corporations Policy Subcommittee, as well as serving as a board member and Chairperson of the City of El Centro Planning Commission. Additionally, Dax gained valuable insights into cutting-edge landlording practices during a one-week Mr. Landlord cruise, collaborating with top landlords from across the United States.

With two Ph.D.s, an MBA, and a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Dax combines academic rigor with practical expertise to drive success for transactors, property owners, and tenants alike. From June 2011 to March 2024, Dax served as a faculty professor of business, finance, and marketing at the University of Phoenix, teaching 114 classes to over 1,000 students and shaping the next generation of professionals. A creative and strategic thinker, Dax has also successfully created and registered four U.S. trademarks, showcasing a knack for innovation and brand development. Outside of work, Dax earned a second-degree blackbelt at Integrated Warrior Arts in El Centro and occasionally plays tennis, taking second place in B doubles at the Richard Williams Memorial Tennis Tournament in 2024. Married with children and a proud cat owner, Dax enjoys balancing family life with a passion for excellence, whether at home or in the boardroom.
